At Borussia Dortmund there could be movement in the squad again.
Manuel Akanji is about to say goodbye - the central defender is apparently drawn to Inter Milan.
Munich – At Borussia Dortmund, further conversion work is taking place in the squad shortly after the start of the season.
While the signing of striker Anthony Modeste is due to top newcomer Sébastien Haller's cancer, another transfer could still bring some money into BVB's coffers.
On Monday evening, the black and yellow made the Modeste deal perfect.
The 34-year-old comes from 1. FC Köln and has been given a one-year contract in Dortmund.
"Against the background of Sébastien Haller's illness, we are glad that we were able to add such a striker to our squad in Anthony Modeste for the current season at short notice," Sebastian Kehl is quoted as saying in the club's official statement.
Flash transfer?

While the Frenchman was signed for the attack at short notice as Haller's replacement, a defensive star could still leave Signal-Iduna-Park.
We're talking about Manuel Akanji.
The Swiss was actually placed in the center of defense in recent years, but has not played a role at BVB since this summer.

The reason?
Akanji doesn't want to extend his contract, which expires in 2023, but BVB doesn't want to let him go on a free transfer next summer - so the Swiss was suggested this summer to look for a new club.
So far, this has worked rather mediocre, but now there is apparently new movement in the personnel.
As
Gazzetta Dello Sport
reports, Inter Milan is keen on the 27-year-old.
But only if the Nerazzurri lose Milan Skriniar at the same time.
PSG are said to be interested in the Slovak, which is why Inter have considered Akanji as his successor.

According to reports, things could go very quickly now, at BVB coach Edin Terzic has not been planning with Akanji for a long time.
The central defender was not involved in any pre-season friendly matches and Akanji was also not part of the squad for the narrow 1-0 win at the start of the season against Bayer Leverkusen last Saturday.

In Dortmund, the Akanji chapter was already closed at the beginning of the transfer period.
With Mats Hummels, Emre Can and the two newcomers Nico Schlotterbeck and Niklas Süle, BVB has four central defenders of international stature.
BVB is hoping for up to 20 million from the Akanji sale.
