End of a glorious career?
At the age of 34, Elishi Kadir, one of the top players in Israeli basketball in the last two decades, is considering retirement from basketball.
The veteran forward, who finished his contract with Elizur Ashkelon, is not expected to continue at the southern club and may announce his retirement soon.
In the past season in the ranks of Ashkelon, Kadir recorded averages of 8.6 points, 6.5 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game.
It should be noted that the infielder aroused interest among various teams in the national league, when the newcomer, Maccabi Rehovot, examined the possibility of joining him.
Last summer, Kadir was interviewed for the 'Final Food' podcast and revealed the difficulties he faces at this stage of his career: "The age combined with the injuries I've had have affected the body and I can no longer do what I used to do. Sometimes I come home and want to bang my head against the wall."
