First assumption: the syndesmosis ligament is torn.
The diagnosis is still pending.
One thing is certain: another long absence at FC Langengeisling.
After Florian Rupprecht and Maxi Maier, the midfielder is the next mainstay that breaks away from the district league.
And that before the derby against FC Moosinning (today, 6.30 p.m.).
It is a derby in which the FCL looks down the table for the first time to find the FCM.
After match days, the Geislinger are second in the table with four points, while the black and yellow are still chasing their claims with two draws.
"Nevertheless, Moosinning is of course the favourite", says Langengeisling's player-coach Maxi Hintermaier and mentions the opponent's "brutal quality".
"With Dennis Stauf and Johannes Volkmar they are solid at the back, in the center they have Florian Jakob.
Giggs Ball plays strong long balls.
But mei, Moosinning is well staffed everywhere," says Hintermaier, but adds.
"Nevertheless, we want to get something.
This is a home game.
We started better than last year.
We take this self-confidence with us.”
Hintermaier does not like to remember the 1:5 home defeat last year.
“We were almost equal in the second game.
Maybe they're due at some point. ”One point is already there.
"A threesome will be difficult, everything has to fit," says the coach, who can fall back on the squad from Saturday.
Holidaymakers David Riederle and Michael Faltlhauser are also coming back.
Hintermaier is still working on who takes on the role of Kilian Stenzel.
In an interview with the local newspaper, FCM coach Christoph Ball found out about Stenzel's serious injury.
At first he was a bit shocked.
"It's bad and can drag on, and now they're missing a few important players," Ball noticed.
"But we have to focus on ourselves now and we know it won't be as easy as last season.
Langengeisling is one year further in his season.
And we simply left too much behind in the two previous games," he complains to his protégés in view of the two draw games.
"In Finsing we were too careless in the first half and also had bad luck with referee decisions.
Not much will change in the squad.
Maxi Schmid is back, Matthias Eschbaumer is on vacation.
As against Ostermünchen, Fabian Ulitzka, Daniel Auerweck, Lukas Treffler, David Kamm and Peter Werndl are not there.
