The days pass, and it is still not clear what will happen to Kevin Durant.
Brooklyn has not yet received the offer that satisfies it, and according to American journalist Ian Begley, Durant himself has already marked his preferred destination - Boston.
"He would like to play with Marcus Smart," Begley claimed, but it seems that a deal between the two parties is still far away - especially considering the gaps that were revealed in the talks.
According to the "Boston Globe", Brooklyn's original demand from the Celtics was huge: the Nets initially demanded both Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.
Needless to say, Boston turned down, and then turned down, Brooklyn's new offer - Brown, Smart and a slew of first-round picks.
Begley also claimed that Philadelphia also held internal talks about the possibility of joining the race for Durant, hoping that it would be able to do so without saying goodbye to James Harden and Joel Embiid.
In that case, it will build a package around Tyrese Maxey, and likely also around Tobias Harris, Mattis Thiebel, and draft picks.
In that case, Durant will be reunited with Harden, with relations between the two reportedly cool following the old man's departure to Philly.
Next season together?
It won't be easy.

According to Brian Windhorst of ESPN, the ultimatum that Durant presented to the leaders of the Nets will only hurt him now: "It was a move, a move that I don't think worked, because I think it hurt his value in the trade market.
