The new Paris SG women's coach, Gérard Prêcheur, admitted on Wednesday that there was "
something to rebuild
" at the club after a turbulent season, promising to study the "compatibility" of the middle Kheira Hamraoui with his "
orientations
" for the female section.
"
I felt, following last season, that the team had to live a difficult year, even if that did not prevent them from performing at certain times of the season
", explained the French technician during a press briefing.
PSG lost their D1 French championship title last year to Lyon, who also won against Les Parisiennes in the Champions League semi-finals.
PSG still won the Coupe de France.
The season was notably marked by internal dissension in the locker room following the attack on Hamraoui in November, with some players suspecting the midfielder of having directed the investigators towards their entourage.

There is something to rebuild and that makes the challenge even more exciting
," said Prêcheur, appointed in recent days to replace Didier Ollé-Nicolle.

There is this notion of a new challenge, this idea of starting from scratch in a way, it's interesting
", he added on the sidelines of a training session in Bougival (Yvelines), where the female section.
The Hamraoui case under study, hoped recruits
The former coach of Olympique Lyonnais (2014-2017), hired until June 2023 with an optional additional season, explained that he considered Hamraoui, under contract until 2023, "
in the same configurations as the other players

The former Barcelona player, removed from the professional group at the end of last season after an altercation in training, has resumed collective sessions.

With my staff, we are going to study his profile and his compatibility with my playing orientations and you will be informed quickly of the decisions that we will take

After several days at the controls of part of the group, some internationals, including the French, will only return to training on Saturday, Prêcheur felt "a

The coach, deprived for this recovery of the best player of the D1 season Marie-Antoinette Katoto, operated on the right knee at the end of July, and of the flagship rookie Lieke Martens, admitted that the workforce was "
still under construction
".
But the sports management, largely overhauled in the off-season, "

" to attract recruits, he assured.
The first official meeting of the women's PSG is scheduled for August 28 in Dunkirk, for the Champions Trophy against Lyon.
