The summary of the 2:2 of Fulham against Liverpool in the debut of Manor Solomon (Sport 1)
Fulham and the Israel national team are waiting to find out how long Menor Solomon will be out of action following the injury he sustained in the reserve team's game last Sunday.
His coach Marco Silva spoke at the press conference ahead of the game against Wolves on Saturday about the Israeli's condition, and beyond announcing the obvious that the winger will be absent against the Wolves, he provided a hint regarding the duration of his absence.
"Solomon Menor will probably undergo surgery in the coming days on his knee," said Silva, "after that we will have more news and be more certain about his recovery time, but it looks like he will be out for a long time. It is better to wait for the surgery and then we will have more details."
Silva was also asked about the rate of recovery of another injured winger, Harry Wilson, and provided information regarding the Israeli's injury: "Wilson's absence should not be as long as Solomon's, but it could be six to eight weeks, probably ten games."
Justin Kluivert has been mentioned as a candidate to join Fulham, as has Willian, ex-Chelsea and Arsenal who currently plays for Brazilian Corinthians.
Silva refused to refer to specific names but added: "It is clear in which positions we need reinforcement, certainly now with the long injuries of Wilson and Solomon."
As you may remember, Solomon who joined the team from Shakhtar Donetsk managed to make his debut in the Premier League when he came on as a substitute in the 2:2 draw against Liverpool, but suffered bad luck when a day later he injured his knee in the reserve team match.
Following the injury, Solomon is expected to miss the fateful match of the Israeli national team against Albania on September 24, in which Alon Hazan's team may secure promotion to the top division of the Nations League.
