Did SE Freising manage to break free with the 8:2 in Pullach?

The duel against the penultimate, SV Bruckmühl, could point the way.

- So there it was, the redeeming first win of the season for the SE Freising footballers.

In the end it was 8:2 against SV Pullach.

A game that had almost reached historical dimensions.

Nevertheless, it remains the third last place in the table for the time being.

The SEF kickers want to take the self-confidence they gained from the thrashing into the game on Friday evening (7:30 p.m.) against SV Bruckmühl.

Bittner: "Pullach was a confirmation for us"

"Above all, he was good for our self-confidence," Bittner summed up days later.

In the first three games in particular, the Lerchenfelder were the shooting gallery of the league - they had conceded a whopping 14 goals against Geretsried, Landshut and Eggenfelden.

"Pullach was confirmation for us," says Freising's new coach.

In training, a lot of things worked right from the start, but in the first few games the mistakes increased.

In addition, the yellow-blacks had missed many basic virtues.

These deficits culminated in a collective failure in the 0:5 home slap against Eggenfelden.

Now, on the other hand, a lot is working, especially the willingness to run – and the body language is now completely different in the Eintracht camp.

"And we have the necessary aggressiveness against the ball," praised Bittner.

The young troupe has apparently learned from the stuttering start.

"Even Wasserburg was a step up," sums up Bittner.

But Pullach's 8:2 isn't worth much if Freisinger don't step up their game against SV Bruckmühl.

Florian Bittner knows that the game against the penultimate team, who has lost four out of five games so far, will not be easy.

Bruckmühl didn't start well either, so the match will be a hot dance.

"And we will do a devil and underestimate them." Even with the spectacle of Pullach in the back.

In terms of personnel, the player-coach is slowly having more options again.

He can attack fully again after his strain and contributed three of eight goals himself on Saturday.

"I'm not at 100 percent yet," admits the coach.

Nevertheless, he wants to appear himself on Friday.

Also because things went so well in Pullach with strike partner Felix Günzel.

"Maybe something has really been found there," the 31-year-old reflects.

"It's extremely fun with him."

In addition, Christian Schmuckermeier is back from vacation.

Central defender Vitus Kirchberger was able to play through against Pullach and Sebastian Thalhammer was at least on the bench for the first time this season.

Bittner has to look for a replacement for defensive jewel Daniel Zanker.

The 21-year-old said goodbye abroad until winter.

"Here I have several options in mind," says Bittner.

"It is important to find a healthy mix of offensive urge and defense."
