Due to the affair that has been going on for several weeks, the participation of the President of the State of Israel Yitzhak Bozi Herzog in the event is also in doubt, if the families decide to be absent from the ceremony.

German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, ministers from both governments, the heads of the International Olympic Committee led by Thomas Bach, the heads of the Israeli Olympic Committee led by Yael Arad, the families of the 11th, survivors and athletes are scheduled to participate in the ceremony, which is to take place at the beginning of this September.

As I recall, two weeks ago Ilana Romano, whose husband was murdered in the attack, told Israel Hayom about the financial compensation offered by the Germans: "It's simply hell. They gave a shameful offer, unacceptable to us. They decide to pay according to German law. They need to understand that the attack was on an international stage And they have to pay according to an international standard like they paid in other events."

"They can't laugh at me, the amount is simply absurd to pay 33 people, they have to pay 11 times as much as they paid the terrorists, who gave them 9 million dollars. They received a direct response from us that this amount is unacceptable to us."
