District league: SpVgg Kammerberg forces a 2-1 home win against BC Attaching in the derby.

Kammerberg

– On the first two match days, frustration built up among the SpVgg Kammerberg district league footballers.

In the home game against BC Attaching, the game association then showed a quality that they don't always recall: they defended themselves in the duels and held back against the well-started promoted team.

The reward was a 2-1 win in a duel that left its mark on those involved.

SpVgg player coach Matthias Koston had emphasized before the game that duels will be more important than the playful component.

The guests from Attaching had shone in this discipline on the first two match days.

Four points, no goals conceded - the promoted team had arrived in the league in no time at all with their uncompromising and defensive-oriented style of play.

The established Kammerberger, on the other hand, wanted to prove themselves after two defeats at the start.

And they showed a reaction.

"Kammerberg was totally superior in the first half hour," admitted BCA coach Enes Mehmedovic.

What the Heimelf lacked was a sense of achievement.

Attaching leadership

The guests had this because Didier Nguelefack prevailed in the 37th minute after a throw from keeper Hans Gamperl and smashed into the corner.

Since the scorer missed a huge chance to score the second goal a little later, Kammerberg stayed within striking distance.

The Kammerbergers had a standard situation just before the break.

The ball landed at Niklas Kiermeier, who hit the top corner, which is well worth seeing.

While the home team cheered the equalizer, the guests complained.

They had seen a foul on Mirnes Gurbeta in the formation.

It didn't go any further for the defense chief.

He had to go down with a suspected serious knee injury.

After the change of sides, things got even hotter.

Both teams rubbed against each other, referee Ariane Fichtl interrupted the game very often because of fouls.

Emotions ran high again in the 67th minute, because Kammerberg took the lead after a nice move through Marius Cosa.

The linesman had previously raised the flag for an offside position.

The Attachinger stopped playing for a moment, but the interruption didn't materialize because of a passive offside position.

Kammerberg took advantage of the confusion, Attaching complained.

Koston showed understanding: "I probably would have complained too, if we had been in the situation."

But he and his team benefited.

The game union led 2-1.

The three points weren't set in stone, however, because Attaching fought back.

The visitors threw everything forward and had a top chance to equalize through Imouroine Ouro-Agouda, but the ball smacked the crossbar.

So it remained with the narrow Kammerberger success.

“It was the expected difficult game and a lot of hard work.

It was clear that the duel strength will be decisive and not the playfulness.

We accepted it,” Koston said happily.

The guests quarreled.

“Because of the first half hour, the victory in Kammerberg is okay, but we had good chances.

More would have been possible," said BCA coach Mehmedovic after an intense 90 minutes.
