Jude Bellingham had to appear before an English court on Wednesday.

The BVB star is accused of a traffic offense.

Birmingham – In principle, Jude Bellingham will be happy to travel to his native England.

On Wednesday, however, there was a rather unpleasant reason for the midfield star of Borussia Dortmund to get on the plane: he had to appear in court in Birmingham.

Bellingham is reportedly being charged with a traffic violation.

The 19-year-old is said to have sent WhatsApp messages on his smartphone while driving a Mercedes A 180.

The offense is said to have occurred in Birmingham on March 1 of this year.

BVB: Bellingham second traffic offender after Reus

BVB and traffic offenders - wasn't there something?

In fact: Captain Marco Reus drove for many years without a license and was finally caught.

In the meantime, however, he has caught up on his driver's license.

The court date will probably not throw Bellingham off course either.

The allegations against teammate Nico Schulz are more serious.

The England youngster is one of the most important pillars in Edin Terzic's team.

The new coach even promoted him to third captain behind Reus and Mats Hummels at the start of the season.

In the midfield of the black and yellow, he should ensure stability together with either Mo Dahoud, Emre Can or newcomer Salih Özcan and build on his sometimes outstanding performances of the past few years.

And of course keep your hands off your smartphone while driving.
