After starting the preparation for the qualifiers for the World Championship and the European Championship with a victory over Auburn College, the Israeli national team left for Tbilisi and this evening (Friday) will hold the first preparatory match in Georgia against the local team, a day before the other match between the teams that will be held tomorrow and will be closed to the public and broadcast.

Guy Goodes' team arrives with a completely different lineup compared to the squad that defeated Auburn, when Danny Abdia did not join the trip due to illness.

On the other hand, Goodes gets back Gal Mekel, Tamir Blatt, Yuval Sussman and Rafi Manko who did not play against the college.

Tomer Ginat, who was injured and had his mouth stitched up in the victory over the Americans, is fit and available to the national coach.

Center Goga Bitadeza from the Indiana Pacers has not yet joined the team, but it still has an intriguing front line that includes Toko Shanglia, Giorgi Sharmadini and Sandro Mamuklashvili - who belonged to the Milwaukee Bucks last season.

In the last three matches between the teams, in the 2017 European Championship and the 2018 World Championship qualifiers, it was Georgia that came out on top.

Quarter 1:

The Israeli team came up with a five that includes Roman Sorkin, Jake Cohen, Rafi Manko, Yuval Zussman and Tamir Blatt.
