Cars pulling straight under the brakes, single-seaters stuck in crash barriers, next to each other and even under each other: the start of the Formula E race in Seoul on Saturday offered some similarities to the memorable pile-up scene from the movie The Blues Brothers.

Eight cars were involved in this accident which, fortunately, caused no injuries in South Korea on a wet and slippery track.

In the pits, the Mercedes-EQ and Nissan-eDams teams nevertheless experienced a few cold sweats when Nyck de Vries' car came to lift Sébastien Buemi's car stuck in the wall a few moments earlier.

The halo once again played its role perfectly by protecting the Dutch driver.

The latter was able to get out of the single-seater quickly.

The race neutralized nearly half an hour

Following this impressive accident, the race was neutralized for almost half an hour.

Mitch Evans (Jaguar TCS Racing) won ahead of Olivier Rowland (Mahindra Racing) and Lucas Di Grassi (Rokit Venturi Racing).

First Frenchman, Jean-Eric Vergne took 6th place with the DS Techeetah team.
