Munich – At the end of the English week, the Munich Lions travel to the Home Deluxe Arena in Paderborn to play against SC Verl there, and the goal is very clear: fourth win in four games.
After the legendary three-victory start of Giesinger in the home win against SV Meppen, the task in Verl seems quite feasible.
Especially when looking at the - admittedly still not very meaningful - table, the guest appearance appears in view of the last performances shown by the lions as a sure victory for TSV.
But even this mandatory task needs to be done with all seriousness, as too much arrogance has usually had the opposite effect in the recent past.
The "to the top" speech by the later relegation coach Vítor Pereira is probably still notorious among the fans.
TSV 1860 with new injuries
But now back to the present.
And in this lion trainer Michael Köllner has to do without substitute captain Philipp Steinhart, who will be absent for weeks, in addition to the long-term injured Semi Belkahia and Marcel Bär.
In addition, the scheduled replacement at left-back, Fabian Greilinger, is not far enough to give the Steinhart replacement against Verl.
This could suddenly make Köllner's stepson Alexander Freitag make his debut in the starting XI.
Even if it would certainly leave a bad taste in one or the other due to the family relationship, Freitag was able to show his potential in the preparation.
