SpVgg Mauern got three points when they returned to the district class, while TSV Eching II learned the lesson against Nandlstadt.

Mauern/Eching

- The mood of the two promoted teams in the district class could hardly be more different before the first home game.

The SpVgg Mauern runs on Sunday (3 p.m.) after the opening win in Paunzhausen with a big chest and would also like to tear something against the top team from Kirchdorf.

TSV Eching II is expecting SV Hörgertshausen (Saturday, 1 p.m.) in the Willi Widhopf Stadium.

The hosts will only decide at short notice which squad replacement coach Danny Langer will have available.

Since Peter Kanizsai is still in Hungary because of family matters, the newcomer has to cheat his way through in the first few weeks, according to team manager Stefan Hoffmann.

Hoffmann admits that these are certainly not optimal conditions, which made him even more pleasantly surprised at how the young team, with an average age of under 18, performed in the first game in Nandlstadt despite the clear result.

"The attitude was right, the lads still knelt in after the 0:2 and did their best.

Of course we didn't have enough chances to achieve anything overall, but in terms of play it wasn't that bad," praised the team manager.

Eching's opponent also lost his opening match.

"The 3-1 defeat against Zolling was annoying for us, we invested a lot, but we weren't effective enough," said Hörgertshausen coach Sebastian Liegert.

The lost points should be brought back in, with the statistics speaking against the SVH.

TSV won five of the last eight duels and Hörgertshausen only two.

On the other hand, SpVgg Mauern has a balanced record (four wins, two draws, four defeats) in the last ten games against Kirchdorf.

From this and from the momentum of the 1-0 win in Paunzhausen, coach Georg Pfuller draws hope for the next game.

“Everyone has to get more than 120 percent out of themselves.

We have to stick together defensively and move well.

In addition, we have to make at least one stall in the front,” are Pfuller's specifications for his team.

There is still a question mark over the use of assistant coach Johannes Pollhammer.

The defensive should get a lot more stability with the return of Michael Westermeier.

That could be important against Kirchdorf.

Because the SCK won its opening match against Vatanspor with 4:0 goals.

Goals by Thomas Hadler,

Daniel Schuhmann and Andreas Ruhland caused huge cheers for the relegated team.

The people of Kirchdorf have very positive memories of away games in Mauer.

Most recently, in April 2019, they won 4-0 in a district league duel against SpVgg.

That shouldn't happen again, so Wallen's coach Pfuller is hoping for a boost for his team from numerous spectators.
