Summary: Hapoel Tel Aviv - Beitar Jerusalem 1:2 (Sport1)

After difficult months, Beitar Jerusalem had a little trouble digesting the return to games and the thousands of fans in the stands in the game against Hapoel Tel Aviv. About 4,000 yellow-black fans who accompanied the team created the football atmosphere that the club lacked, but this time too there were some unruly fans. Comedian Guy Hochman revealed yesterday (Saturday) that he was violently attacked by several fans of the club, and filed a complaint with the police this morning.

"What a shame.

Those who follow know that I started it all at Teddy's, at the home of Beitar fans and I found out that they are the opposite of what they have presented to us all these years. Good fans, warm, smart, football lovers. And I know that the majority are still like that. Because I now receive hundreds of messages. But there is the garbage And unfortunately sometimes the garbage stinks up the whole room. And it's a shame. Because this garbage drives away every husband who comes with good intentions, alienates fathers with children, gives a bad name to the group that perhaps best represents Israeliness," Hochman wrote on Facebook, along with a video showing the attack.

"It's clear to me that I'm not innocent. I come and laugh at them, and those who play with fire should also know how to get burned sometimes. But here I was burned to death, literally, they put out a cigarette on me. And they gave me bombs. And they behaved like the stigma I tried to remove from these fans. For years I've been going between All football fans, and of course not everyone likes it, but I have never been in a situation like this. And precisely with Beitar.

Exactly where I started."

Today Beitar issued an official apology to Hochman and announced that it "strongly condemns" the incident of the attack. "Already last night after the incident and also today in the morning we made contact with Guy, we worried about his safety and invited him to be our guest at one of the upcoming team training sessions," reads an official statement on behalf of The club. "Guy, for his part, acknowledged the invitation and noted the amount of support and messages he receives from the true fans of the club.

We call on the Israel Police to reach those rioters and bring them to justice in order to make the stand a better place."
