In the London derby between Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, there are two scuffles between German coach Thomas Tuchel and Italian Antonio Conte.

Munich/London – Emotions literally ran high in this London derby.

In Chelsea's 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur this Sunday evening (August 14), the German coach of the "Blues", Thomas Tuchel, and the Spurs coach, the Italian Antonio Conte, clashed twice.

After the second scuffle, it was enough for Anthony Taylor, the referee showed both team managers the red card at the final whistle.

What happened?

The Dane Pierre-Emile Höjbjerg, a former FC Bayern player, equalized the lead (68th minute) through the Senegalese Kalidou Koulibaly (19th).

Conte then cheered excessively in front of the Chelsea bench, which Tuchel apparently didn't like at all.

The 48-year-old Bavarian Swabian and the 53-year-old southern Italian Conte went at each other, causing a commotion in front of the bench.

Taylor had to settle for a long time, but was criticized himself.

Because: Before the 1: 1, the Uruguayan Rodrigo Bentancur had literally cleared the German national player Kai Havertz with a tackle.

However, the game went on, which probably upset Tuchel.

After the 22-year-old Englishman Reece James put Chelsea back in the lead (77'), striker Harry Kane only managed to make it 2-2 in the sixth minute of added time (90'+6').

But: This goal shouldn't have counted either.

Because: The Argentinian Cristian Romero (Tottenham) had actually pulled the Spaniard Marc Cucurella (Chelsea) by the hair before the decisive corner kick.

Nerves were obviously on edge on both sides.

I thought that when you shake hands, you look into each other's eyes.

When Tuchel, who used to coach Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga, and Conte ran into each other on the sidelines for the obligatory handshake, the German coach pulled the Italian coach towards him and pointed to his eyes with two fingers.

Conte complained loudly, again supervisors from both teams had to intervene and mediate between the disputers.

As a result, Taylor gave both the red card.

Thomas Tuchel is surprised in a TV interview about Antonio Conte

"I thought that you look into each other's eyes when you shake hands," said Tuchel after the confusion in an interview with the TV channel Sky: "Antonio had a different opinion.

It got emotional.

He was very happy about the equalizer, I was a little upset.” The quarrel is likely to have repercussions under sports law for both coaches in the Premier League.

Nothing was known on Sunday evening about the duration of the expected lockdown.
