The SpVgg Schwabbruck/Schwabsoien and the SV Hohenfurch delivered a derby in district class 8, which had some excitement and a turbulent final phase in store.
Schwabbruck/Hohenfurch – When it comes to shooting technique, Michael Eiband still has it all.
Skillfully and at a decent pace, he sent the ball away from where it was next to the substitute bench.
The SV Hohenfurch coach would have preferred not to demonstrate his technical skills, because it was also an expression of his disappointment.
In injury time, the SVH had conceded the 2:2 equalizer in the district class derby at SpVgg Schwabbruck/Schwabsoien - through a long-range shot by Manfred Breitschädel, which flew into the goal in a very special trajectory.
Before that, a free-kick from Daniel Meßmer landed in the Hohenfurcher Mauer and the ball bounced off.
Broad skull, practically the last man of the advanced SpVgg, only had few chances: "I have to take him," said the player with jersey number two.
Somehow he kept it up and his third competitive goal came out.
Hohenfurch takes the lead twice
The draw is "annoying for us," said SVH coach Eiband.
“We were clearly the better team.
But we didn't reward ourselves.” The result felt “more like a defeat” for the guests.
Norbert Mayr's conclusion was a little different.
"We worked out the draw," said the SpVgg coach, who represented his son Bastian Mayr, who was on vacation.
In the first half "we didn't play well".
After being 1-0 down at the break, "the team showed a reaction".
The performance in the second half “was okay.
You can build on that,” said Mayr.
Both coaches agreed that in the new game format with small leagues, draws hardly help in the fight for entry into the promotion round.
Both teams have two points after two games.
"That's meager," Mayr said.
Eiband regretted not having four points.
"The guys invested a lot in it."

In the first half, the guests from Hohenfurch showed the clearly better game system.
The SpVgg had two good chances with headers from Florian Bauer (8th) and Meßmer (27th), but otherwise delivered a lot of patchwork.
Hohenfurch became really dangerous for the first time with a shot by Leonhard Grimm, which SpVgg keeper Stefan Hofmann steered strongly to the corner (29th).

In the second half, Schwabbruck/Schwabsoien showed a clear increase in performance.
Eiband saw "a lot of long balls, it was difficult for us to defend".
The game shifted to the Hohenfurcher half, the SpVgg increasingly came to standards.
Bauer failed again with a header (54th).
Messmer finally made it 1-1 with a skilfully shot free kick that landed in the net from 22 meters (70').
On the other hand, Hohenfurch had a huge chance with a header from Felix Erhard (75').
An action by Messmer against Bayer led to another Hohenfurcher penalty: Michael Grimm converted it to 2:1 (77th).
The game became more heated, with the home fans demanding penalties twice.
In stoppage time, Matthias Kögel was denied by guest keeper Jakob Gast.
The following corner ultimately led to a free kick.
After that, Breitschädel scored to make it 2-2.
Hohenfurch still had the chance to score a "lucky punch": Leonhard Grimm failed with the very last action with a header.
