Earlier in the day, Melvin Landerneau had offered the first major title of his career at 24, after having already been part of the tricolor team which was decorated with silver during the speed test on Friday.
After him, two frustrating silver medals.
First for Clara Coponni.
Long at the head of the omnium, the French was overtaken by 3 points by the Italian Rachele Barbieri.
She was a collateral victim of the long race interruption of almost 40 minutes after a violent fall on the track halfway through.
Regular throughout the afternoon, Clara Coponni did not hold the accelerations at the front during the points race, and had to settle for a second place, a result all the same honorable.

Then, it is Mathilde Gros in individual speed who can harbor regrets.
Ahead of the German world champion Emma Hinze throughout the lap, the Frenchwoman weakened on the last meter and was overtaken by a few centimeters on the finish line.
As the Munich public held their breath, the outcome was confirmed by the photo-finish, and Mathilde Gros left with the money around her neck.
The Tricolores sign a fine afternoon for French track cycling, winning 4 additional medals in the pocket of the French team which is a hit in Europe.
