A boost for color:
Hapoel Beer Sheva announced today (Monday) the signing of forward/center Tidjan Keita, a player of the Guinea national team, who signed with the club from the capital of the Negev for two years.
Keita (25, 2.07) will serve this season as a fifth foreigner and will be shared mainly within the Balkan League.
In the season he played in Niagara of the Canadian League when he reached the semifinals of the league.
In the coming days, Keita will take off for the World Championship qualifiers in the uniform of the Guinea national team and will later join the team's training.
Daniel Ravitz, the sports director of the club, said after the signing: "We are very happy about Keita joining the team. In a season of two frames, it is important to have a sufficiently broad and diverse squad so that we can get the best out of everyone."
Ravitz added: "Tidjan is tall with a diverse set of abilities, a 25-year-old guy who really likes to work and we believe that with us in the future he will be able to break through and develop into a significant player in European basketball."
