Summary: Aris Thessaloniki - Maccabi Tel Aviv 1:2 (Sport1)
After enjoying time off over the weekend, last night (Sunday) the Maccabi Tel Aviv players returned to training and began preparations for the home game against Nice of France, as part of the playoff stage of the Conference League.
Over 15,000 of the season ticket holders have purchased a ticket and guaranteed their arrival at the stadium, and starting today ticket sales will also open to the general public.
Before the second leg in France next week, Maccabi Tel Aviv is looking forward to the opening game in the Premier League, next Sunday against Maccabi Bnei Reina, so the club is expecting eight very intense days.
"Nice is a very good team, regardless of the squad with which they will arrive in Israel and we will have to be at our best to move to the next level," said Maccabi Tel Aviv ahead of the match.
On the professional side and ahead of the game on Thursday, coach Vladan Ivić will miss Dan Glazer who was sent off in Thessaloniki last week, and the full-back slot in the center of the field is expected to be filled by one of Eyal Golsa and Joris van Overeem, when it seems that the Dutchman is currently getting priority, having already filled the position in some games the previous ones.

Along with the professional preparations for the game, Kiryat Shalom are also engaged in attempts to close the story of the signing of midfielder Dor Peretz, who has already expressed a willingness to come and the talks with him are in very advanced stages.
At the same time, the deal is not yet definitively closed and there are other details that require attention before Peretz wears the blue-yellow uniform again.
Also the name of the defender Eli Dassa is of course strongly on the agenda and official negotiations are also taking place with him these days.
Desa continues to check other offers, in Europe and in the MLS league, but Kiryat Shalom are optimistic that he too will eventually join the team.
