“Ultimately we are satisfied.
It's good that we got a point, but we could have decided the game early and taken a three pointer," said player-coach Fabian Lamotte, mourning some missed opportunities.
Obviously, the Ravens had coped well with their 8-2 defeat against Freising in the previous home game and not just because of the partial success: They offered a courageous performance right from the start and had a huge chance in the fifth minute after a bad pass in Holzkirchen's back line , but TuS keeper Benedikt Zeisel made a strong save against Yanis Marseiler.
The SVP lead was not long in coming: Maximilian Stapf only had to put his foot down after a nice combination (10th).
The response from the hosts quickly followed: SVP goalkeeper Maximilian Hug came out of his box a bit impetuously, bringing down a TuS striker.
Former Pullacher Chaka Menelik Ngu 'Ewodo converted the justified penalty safely (13th).
But even this setback did not discourage the people from Pullach. After another nice move, Nam Nguyen ensured the lead again (18th).
The 2-1 lead at half-time was well deserved as the Lamotte team had had clear advantages up to that point.
"We didn't allow much in the first half and had a few good chances," said the coach, who sometimes wished he'd had more determination at the end.
But instead of a well-deserved lead in Pullach, there was a flattering 2:2 for Holzkirchen after Sean Erten's (31st) equalizer, which was also well played out.
After the change, however, the hosts got into the game better and had a match point thanks to Stefan Lechner's header, which just missed the target (71').
"After that there were two or three more tricky situations, but Holzkirchen didn't have such a top-class scoring chance anymore either," Lamotte saw his team's stable defensive performance, which he praised overall: "We were the better team from the first minute.
Even if that wasn't the case in the second half, when we lost a bit of our strength, you can say that the team showed a reaction to the Freising game." (um)
