The return of Dor Peretz to Maccabi Tel Aviv has been hanging in the air for several weeks.

Peretz, who will wear the number 42 shirt again, could have moved this summer to Khimki Moscow who wanted him or to one of the teams from Turkey who were interested in him, but as time passed and there was no real offer from a team in one of the major leagues in Europe, he was more and more inclined to return to the Yellows after his short term in Serie A.
The national team's midfielder comes with the status of a senior legionnaire and once he gets in shape, he should become a kind of "bunker", in the yellow team's lineup.
Only his arrival increases the inflation of the yellows in the link squad and it will create a situation where 6-7 players will fight for three positions every game.

Note the list of midfielders who can now play in the back (6) or forward (8) midfield position: Dor Peretz, Joris Van Over, Dan Glazer, Avi Ryken, Eyal Golsa, Gabi Kanikowski and Dan Beaton.
