Arrival of the fifth
: 7 - 12 - 9 - 5 - 15
Contested over the 1,400m of the Deauville straight line (Calvados), the fifth of the day brought together sixteen females aged 3 to 5 years inclusive.
This event gave pride of place to competitors with an outside rope number, including
Perl
(n°7) who started from stall number 14. After having waited in fifth position, she put on an excellent thrust and showed pugnacity to win a first event of this kind.
Trained on the spot by Yann Barberot, she was associated with Grégory Benoist and caused a surprise posting an odds of 25/1: “It's a filly waiting.
I was brought back by the favorite and she made the difference in the final phase.

The favorite,
Lily Rose
(No. 12) must once again be content with a runner-up.
After having waited as usual, with her number 15 outside, she accelerated perfectly and looked like a winner for a moment.
It is still behaving remarkably, preserving second place with a nose against
Dhahabia
(n°9) which is performing a convincing comeback race.
After waiting, she concluded in a pleasant way and thus confirmed her fourth place on May 24 at the Saint-Cloud racecourse.
Arriving fourth,
Guerreira
(n°5) wiped out her recent underperformance at this level of competition.
Pearls Angel (
n°15) completes the arrival of the quinté.
