Kazakh Wimbledon champion and world number 25 Elena Rybakina qualified for the second round of the Cincinnati Women's Tennis Championships.
Rybakina succeeded in qualifying after defeating Egyptian ranked 58th in the world, Mayar Sharif, in two sets without a response, 3-6, 2-6, who recently returned from an injury she suffered in the previous Roland Garros tournament.
She also managed to reach the same role, the American Amanda Anisimova, after defeating the Russian Daria Kasatkina in two sets without a response.
