The two new Dutch coaches for the Syrian national teams in the age groups did not hide their enthusiasm for working in Syrian football, Mark Vote and Filko van Buren, after they signed an official contract with the Football Association.
In the press conference for introducing coaches, which was held today at the headquarters of the Game Association in Damascus, the two coaches expressed their willingness to transfer their training experiences through their presence in Dutch clubs or those they gained through their professional experiences with Arab and foreign clubs, in order to develop Syrian football and achieve good results that meet the aspirations of its fans.
The two coaches stressed the need to cooperate with clubs and coaches, and not only with the Federation to work within a specific plan that would eventually reach the desired goal, pointing at the same time to the importance of the presence of professional Syrian players abroad within the age groups, hoping that their work would culminate in providing a good substitute for the first team with a modern and capable football style. Coach Velko Van Buren will lead the U-17 and U-15 national teams, while coach Mark Vote will coach the Syrian U-23 and U-20 teams.
