Spain's Carlos Alcaraz reached the last 16 of the Cincinnati Open after defeating American MacKenzie MacDonald.
The world number four managed to settle the outcome of the match in his favour, defeating his American opponent, the owner of the land and the public, with two clean sets, 6-3, 6-2.
In the next round, Alcaraz will face veteran Croatian Marin Cilic, who in turn defeated Finnish Emil Rosovori.
