The seventh and final day of the European Swimming Championships, held in Rome, Italy, started this morning (Wednesday), with two Israeli swimmers participating in the 400 meter freestyle.

In the same evening as mentioned, the championship will be closed, not before Ron Polonsky will try to bring a second medal to the delegation, after Anastasia Gorbenko's gold in the 200 meter individual medley, which she won for the second year in a row, when Polonsky will try to repeat it in the corresponding men's relay.
In the meantime, the European Swimming Federation LEN announced the postponement of the schedules of the European Open Water Championships, due to difficult weather conditions of high winds and waves at the competition site on the coast of Ostia near Rome, which according to the forecast should continue even into the first day of the competition.
The competition was supposed to open tomorrow, but now after the change, the competition will open on Friday, and that too subject to an improvement in weather conditions.
According to the announcement - on Friday the 10 km races for men and women will be held at the same time starting at 10:00 a.m. Israel time, with the participation of Matan Roditi, Ziv Cohen and Eva Fabian. On Saturday - the 5 km races with the participation of Yonatan Ahdot, Orin Gavlan and Eva Fabian.
