In the game in the football cup between Vatanspor Freising and TSV Au, one goal followed the next.
The bottom line was a whopping eleven hits.
Freising
– At Vatanspor, the spectacle seems to be the order of the day this season.
Just a few days after the 3:7 against Marzling in the district class, Freisinger defeated TSV Au 6:5 in the football cup.
"A crazy game," said guest coach Sepp Summerer.
His team was caught off guard when Vatanspor repeatedly set the stage for the fast Opeyemi Babalola with long balls.
After ten minutes, Babalola (4th), Ardian Abdullahi (7th) and Leon Seibt (10th) had already given the Hallertau team three goals.
After that, the TSV caught itself and showed that the defense of the hosts was not solid.
Bastian Edmaier (43') and Alex Schwarz (45') reduced the lead to 3-2 before the break.
After the break, Seibt increased the lead to 4:2 with a long-range shot (51st), before Schwarz restored the old lead from a distance (61st).
An own goal by Serkan Kalemci (64') to make it 4-4 seemed to tip the game in favor of the guests - but Sinan Celik's free-kick (78') and Babalola's second goal (87') prevented this.
"We never gave up today, even after the equalizer, even if the opponents were perhaps better," praised player-coach Denzi Sari.
"The decisive factor was the will and in the end our goalkeeper also held on to our victory." A late goal by Tobias Edmaier marked the final score of 6:5.
"Even if you consider that some regular players were absent today, the performance wasn't what it should be.
We had a few weak points today and our opponents made good use of that."
said Summerer.
