Ryan Giggs' trial continues today (Friday).
The former star of Manchester United and the Wales team, who is on trial in Manchester on charges of assault and abuse of his ex-partner, Kate Greville, was assisted by Sir Alex Ferguson, his legendary coach who came to give character evidence and said that "in the dressing room everyone saw Brian as number one ".
Ferguson claimed that he never saw Ryan Giggs lose his temper or behave aggressively, and at the top of the things he said in praise of the footballer was "that he was without a doubt the best example in Manchester United in those days".
Ferguson and Giggs have known each other since 1987, when the Welshman came to the club as a youth player, and the manager coached him until his retirement in 2014.
As you may remember, Giggs was also in the midst of a coaching career and in 2018 led the Wales team, but his role as the head coach of the Dragons came to an end following the serious allegations against him.
During today's trial, a letter that Greville wrote to Giggs in October 2020, three days before the incident of the assault for which the police were called, was also revealed, leading to the arrest and investigation of the footballer and of course to the start of the trial that is ongoing these days.
Greville, it is claimed, wrote the following letter immediately after finding conclusive evidence on Giggs's IPAD that he was cheating on her with eight different women, but never sent the letter to Giggs and the only person exposed to it was one of her friends.
Among those eight women, it is claimed, is also one of the managers of the hotel named after Giggs, without whom are also Paul Scholes and Gary Neville, his former friends at United, and another woman was mentioned as being "married to that cricketer".

This is what Greville wrote in the letter that Giggs has just revealed in court: "I wanted to believe everything you told me, but now I know that everything you tell me - you tell many other women. At least the other women have a husband, kids and friends, I'm not that special. I've always been loyal to you no matter what happened, and it's all for nothing.
"I think you underestimated my ability to find things out," Greville continued, "For five years I didn't really want to know what was going on, but since Christmas there have been so many things that haven't worked out - that's when I decided to bury my head in the sand.
