A tremendous achievement for the triple jumper Hana Kneizeva Minenko, who this evening (Friday) jumped a distance of 14.45 meters, finished in third place and won the bronze medal at the European Athletics Championships held in Munich.
The 32-year-old Minenko, who at her peak was the runner-up of the world champion in 2015 and the runner-up of the European champion in 2016, reached a distance of 14.20 meters in the first jump, was disqualified in the second jump and in the third jump reached the distance that secured her place on the podium, 14.45 meters as mentioned.
In the fourth jump she recorded 13.97 meters and she was also disqualified in the fourth and fifth jumps, but this did not change anything and ensured her a place on the podium.
The gold medal was won by the Ukrainian Marina Bek who reached a distance of 15.02 meters.
It should be noted that Minenko was 2 centimeters ahead of the fourth ranked.
