District class: Auer and Nandlstädter are looking forward to the eternal Holledau derby.

Nandlstadt

- A derby in the district class is actually nothing special, the teams from the district are among themselves, but some games are more explosive than others.

So the duel between TSV Nandlstadt and TSV Au (Sunday, 3 p.m.).

Then the choice of words by players and fans could become martial and handling on the pitch rough.

The Hallertauer Derby is something like the mother of all battles, especially for the older generation.

This rivalry has always existed, remembers Auer department head Stefan Schaipp.

"When I was still playing myself, it was much more blatant, you didn't even look at each other outside the football field.

Everything has calmed down in the meantime, but there is definitely a healthy rivalry.”

Healthy rivalry

Nandlstadt's coach Mario Tafelmaier also knows about the peculiarity of the neighborhood derby.

“The explosiveness is instilled in you as a child by parents and caregivers.

In Au it is said in the youth that you can lose everything, but never against Nandlstadt.

And it's not much different here in Nandlstadt.” In the meantime, however, this rivalry between the two clubs is mainly focused on the men's area, according to Tafelmaier.

In the youth area there is even a play community in the A and B youth.

For the players who will be on the pitch at the weekend and who have been at the club for a long time, the game still means something special.

"It's always been a serious thing, I've known it since I was a little boy watching it.

There was always a lot going on, no matter what the current table constellation was," recalls Alex Schwarz from TSV Au.

"As a player, you're particularly excited about it and you definitely want to win.

In the meantime, however, things are no longer as serious as they were 15 or 20 years ago.

That means, in the changing room or outside the square, you know and greet each other, the tone is quite normal.

But on the field, that fades out for 90 minutes.”

A game like any other for the Auer coach

Of course, coach Sepp Summerer thinks it's good when his players are 120 percent motivated, but as a newcomer he can't really relate to the Hallertau rivalry: "I can already see that it's very special for the players who come from Au .

Some claim it's the most important game of the year.

It doesn't really affect me that much, but there are still three important points."

All the more so when TSV Au conceded their first bankruptcy at home last matchday.

SV Vötting stole the points from the Hallertau in the 3-1 victory and ensured that the green-whites slipped down to sixth place in the table.

Both against Vötting and during the week in the 5:6 Totopokal defeat against Vatanspor Freising, the kickers from Au remained below their potential.

TSV Nandlstadt, on the other hand, has had a clean slate so far.

Won twice 3-0, coach Tafelmaier has no reason to complain.

"We trained really hard in preparation, it's paying off now because we can always step it up a notch when it's necessary.

We have to put that on the field against Au as well.

They have a good team, but overall I see us as a better team at the moment.
