Malaika Mihambo is "better again" after her circulatory collapse after the competition at the European Championships in Munich.
This was announced by the German Athletics Association (DLV).
The Olympic champion, who lost her European Championship title in second place, was no longer able to answer questions from the media on Thursday evening due to her health problems.
Subject to a medical check, Mihambo wants to comment on the competition on Friday afternoon.
The 28-year-old received medical attention in the Olympic Stadium and complained of shortness of breath and circulatory problems.
More than an hour after the end of the competition, Mihambo was still visibly dazed and was wheeled out of the stadium while seated on a golf cart.
After winning the gold medal at the World Championships in Eugene in July, Mihambo became infected with the corona virus, and as a result she did not train for ten days.
Your start in Munich had meanwhile been questionable.
The exceptional athlete only gave the green light four days before the qualification.
Despite her infection, Mihambo showed world-class level in the gripping final in front of 31,000 spectators.
The athlete of the LG Kurpfalz completed all six attempts, with her best jump she landed after 7.03 m. She was only three centimeters short of successfully defending her European Championship title.
The new European champion is Serbian Ivana Vuleta, who jumped 7.06 m.
