European Champion Gina Lückenkemper has given the green light to start in the European Championship final in the 4x100 meter relay.
"I am very happy to be able to tell you that the leg felt so good in today's test that I can actively support the team on the track," said the German champion on Instagram.
The 25-year-old can win her second gold in the title fights in Munich's Olympic Stadium on Sunday (9:22 p.m. / ZDF).
Lückenkemper fell shortly after the finish line in her surprising triumph over 100 m on Tuesday evening and wounded her left leg with her own spikes.
This had to be sewn with eight stitches.
Lückenkemper and Tatjana Pinto skipped the pre-run on Friday, in which Germany ran the fifth-best time without risk in the changes.
Pinto paused because of muscular problems for “safety reasons”, as reported by national sprint coach Ronald Stein.
The team of the German Athletics Association (DLV) has chances of gold at the European Championships.
Pinto, Alexandra Burghardt, Lückenkemper and Rebekka Haase were only beaten by the USA and Jamaica at the World Championships in Eugene and won bronze.
