Carlo Ancelotti, the coach of Real, did not shine with happiness upon hearing the news, but neither did he look like one who is in mourning.

And the truth is that when you look at this huge deal from all sides, it actually seems logical.

From the point of view of United, from the point of view of Real Madrid and yes, also from the point of view of Casemiro himself.

When Real bought the 22-year-old Frenchman Orlain Choumani this summer for 80 million euros from Rennes, no one tried to hide the motive: Choumani is destined to be Casemiro's successor in the "Blancos" lineup.

Not that it was supposed to happen right now.

Casemiro is only 30 years old, he is in great shape and there is no decline in his abilities.

He is still considered by many to be the best full back in the world.

And yet, Real didn't invest 80 million euros in the French national team midfielder to let him dry on the bench for too long.

The upcoming season is supposed to be an acclimatization season, but in a year Choamani should already be a team player.

the economic aspect

According to reports, Casemiro should earn between 22 and 25 million euros gross per season at United (11 to 13 million net) - which is double what he is currently earning at Real.

And it is not only the height of the contract, but also its length.

The Brazilian's current contract with Real will end in 2025.

The contract at United is until 2026 with an option for another year.

Which means about 50 million euros net guaranteed in the next 4 years, and the possibility of ten more at the age of 35. Not bad...

Casemiro played 9 years at Real Madrid, won the Champions League 5 times (scoring in the final against Juventus in 2017), 3 times in the Spanish Championship and collected a total of 18 titles. The Brazilian's account is simple: after winning every possible title at Real and becoming a legend (his nickname is "Casmito" - a play on words that includes his name and the word myth), this is his time to maximize his financial potential. Because it is not certain that in two years it will be possible, and certainly not with these amounts.

You have to understand, Casemiro will now have the second highest salary in United, after his former friend at Real Cristiano Ronaldo - who is not at all sure that he will stay in the team.

Which is true, Casemiro joins the team in crisis.

And it's clear that he alone won't be able to save the sinking ship of Erik ten Haah.

But with his vast experience, and with the addition of other players who should arrive, at least United have a horizon.

And yes, he will be a significant addition of strength to the horrible link of the "Red Devils".

At United they play Raphael Varane, the French stopper who collaborated with him for 8 years at the Bernabeu.

The cooperation between the two on and off the field should also upgrade the team of the ten brothers.

And what about Real Madrid?

She will receive 60 million euros for him (and another 10 million optional in the future) - a handsome sum for a 30-year-old player. In this way, she returns almost the entire investment in Chomani.

Ancelotti is not worried

When Ancelotti was asked if he was not worried about Casemiro's departure, he replied: "With him we had 7 midfielders, now we have 6. Modric, Kroos, Choumani, Valverde, Sabaios and Camabinga. That will be enough for us for the coming season. And Choumani is Not the only one who can fit into Casemiro's slot. In 2014, Tony played as a full-back and we won 22 games in a row. It is true that there is no player who can replace Casemiro with the qualities that are unique to him, but we have other excellent options."
