Israel's cadet team finished fifth in the European Championship after defeating Italy today (Saturday) 75:89.
This is the best achievement of the cadet team since 1997, when the team won a bronze medal.
Reminder: the reserve team finished fourth and the youth team eighth.
Israel is one of the only five countries that all of its youth teams qualified for at least the quarter-finals.
Ben Sharaf, Israel's man in the championship and a candidate for the fifth place in the tournament, finished with 27 points.
Uri Yair scored 24 (6 three-pointers) and Omar Meir scored 14.
