a day after the triple jumper Hana Minenko won the bronze medal at the European Championships in Munich, this evening (Saturday), the medal distribution ceremony was held, under pouring rain.
Minenko went up to the podium, to the applause of her teammates who were holding umbrellas, and while trying to applaud and cheer her on, she waved at them and smiled, as she presented the medal to the photographers and waited for the rest of her teammates to receive their medals.

It was a familiar moment for the talented 32-year-old athlete, after in 2016 she won the silver medal at the continental championships held in Amsterdam, while she was also runner-up at the 2015 world championships and bronze at the European indoor championships that year.
This was the fifth time that Israeli athletes won this status in Munich, when the marathon team won the team gold medal, Maru Tefri finished second in the individual competition and right after him Geshau Ayala, while Luna Chamtai Salpeter added the bronze in the 10,000 meter run.
The long season in athletics will soon come to an end, with several more competitions in the Diamond League ahead of us and then the athletes will go on a short break, before starting the preparations for the next season, where they will already begin to try to achieve the criterion for the Olympic Games in Paris 2024.
