A summary of Israel's warm-up game against Georgia (68:81 to Israel) (courtesy of the Basketball Association)
The cadet team finished last night (Saturday) a wonderful summer for Israel's young teams at the European Championships.
Let's remind, for those who forgot: the reserve team reached the semi-finals and ended up in fourth place, the youth team reached the quarter-finals and ended up in eighth place, and the youth team was also eliminated in the quarter-finals, finishing fifth.
What all these teams have in common - they all had one central star, who was also one of the stars of the championship: Noam Doberat, Noam Yaakov and Ben Sharaf.
This is what their summer looks like.
Noam Doberat (reserve team, Hapoel Jerusalem, 20 years old, 1.95 m)
The guard of Hapoel Jerusalem, who was included in the extended squad of the adult team for the World Championship and EuroBasket qualifiers, was included in the top five of the tournament, and the numbers definitely back it up.
Doverat finished fourth in the scoring table (17.7 points per game), seventh in the assists table (4.4), and 21st in the rebound table (5.4).
The highlight match:
in the biggest class of all - the semi-final against Spain, when all eyes were on him.
Doverat stood up to the pressure, with 26 points (10 of 18 from the field), 5 rebounds and 5 assists.
Unfortunately, it ended in a loss.

Noam Yaakov (youth team, Villerban, 17 years old, 1.86 m)
The frantic coordinator who played last year in the youth team of Villerban may get minutes in the senior team this season as well, thanks, among other things, to the wonderful performances in the European Youth Championship.
Yaakov ranked second in the tournament in points per game (19.3), and did so with extraordinary efficiency - he had 47.1 percent from the field (sixth place in the championship), and 39.3 percent from outside the arc (eighth place in the championship).
Add to that 6 assists per game (first place in the championship) and 6 rebounds per game (15th place in the championship), and you got an extraordinary tournament.
He too, like a spokeswoman, was selected for the top five of the championship.
The record game:
35 points (13 of 21 from the field, 6 of 6 from the line), 5 rebounds and 6 assists in the ranking game against Italy.
Although it ended in a loss, no other player in this championship managed to score more points in a single game.
Ben Sharaf (cadet team, Elitzur Netanya, 16 years old, 1.95 m)
The final of the European Cadet Championship will be held today, after which the top five of the tournament will be chosen, and we can only assume there will be a representative for Israel there, and this representative will be called Ben Sharaf.
One of the unique talents that have emerged in Israeli basketball in recent years leads the championship in points per game (24.3), when in only two of his seven games did the opponents manage to hold him below 27 points (and even in these cases, he scored 17 and 19 points).
He also added 4.1 assists per game (fifth in the championship) and 6.7 rebounds per night (16th in the championship).
He was also in the top 10 in the steals table, with 2.3 per night (ninth place in the championship).
As for the index points (22.9), he is second in the entire tournament only to the Montenegrin David Mirkovic (25.9).
The highlight game:
His record of points did come in the quarter-finals against Greece (30), but we will actually go for the round of 16, when he provided a purposeful display of 28 points, 10 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals against Serbia.
And most importantly: a prestigious victory over one of the most talented teams on the continent.
The boy will go far.
