A moment ago we were relegated from League A, a loss to Netanya will not break us Israel today

Despite a difficult game, with a foursome resounding to the net, thousands stayed in the stands and sang to the players - and this tells the story of Beitar Jerusalem as a whole.

It's always difficult to see your beloved from a distance, not least when Saturday is late at the point where you are in Greece, all the more so when you experience the game not on the field but through live updates from the various websites and international broadcasts.

A season opener is always a celebration.

Somehow, and not for the first time, it turned out that I was experiencing this game from afar, and not up close on the field itself, or at least through the television.

Experiencing the opening game from a distance is mainly nail biting and trying to feel the sensations from the grass, but from a distance and through mediation.

It's a feeling that football fans who follow their team know very well, the game is happening at the same time, but you, for whatever reason, cannot take a significant part and push and cheer in real time.

And yet, a video that my friend from the stands, Itai Raviv, sent to me from the court, tells the whole Beitari story - we got four, in a difficult game, and yet, thousands on the court in Netanya stayed until the end of the game and shouted in a sharp and clear voice, "You entered my heart, I fell in love with you, it will be Whatever it is you know Beitar I love you.

You will never - never walk alone.'

Beitar Jerusalem fans encourage the players after the loss to Maccabi Netanya

Because despite all the difficulties, we are survivors.

A minute and a half ago we were just a step away from being in League A, so even a loss to Netanya in the opening game will not break us.

Next week comes the next challenge - Hapoel BS.

There is no doubt that we must get stronger after starting the season considerably late, but the fans believe in the system, believe in the coach, believe in a long way - and with God's help, as long as the crowd continues the push, the points will come.

We are heading for a complex season, but after seeing the Beitari crowd at the end of the game, I am optimistic.

Still maintaining optimism at Beitar Jerusalem, despite everything,

were we wrong

We will fix it!
