Ilkay Gundowan puts Manchester City up 0:1 over Newcastle (Sport 1)
Arsenal climbed to the top of the Premier League yesterday (Saturday) with a 0:3 victory over Bournemouth, but the one who can conquer the top again is the champion Manchester City, who is now hosted by the pretentious Newcastle.
Manchester City are still undefeated this season, beating West Ham 2-0 in London in the opening round and then easily defeating Bournemouth 4-0, but the champions know that their victory today will also increase the gap to Liverpool to seven points, at least until the Mighty Reds visit Manchester City Star United tomorrow night.
Pep Guardiola and his players have a wonderful streak against Newcastle - since in 2019 Newcastle won and squeezed a draw from City, all the games between them ended in crushing victories for the Citizens with the results 0:5, 0:2, 3:4, 0:4 and 0:5 at the Etihad Stadium Last May.
Newcastle started the 2022/23 season with a 0:2 home win over Nottingham Forest and last week they didn't win when they finished 0:0 at Brighton, but they showed good ability and in defense they also benefited from the fantastic ability of goalkeeper Nick Pope.
Newcastle is indeed one of the richest teams in the world today thanks to its new owners, but fundamental changes in the squad have not been made so far and the home game against the Citizens can certainly present a mirror image of the Magpies' intentions to establish themselves at the top.

Minute 5: Goal!
The Newcastle fans barely had time to sit down and already saw their team absorb.
Bernardo Silva tricked his keeper and put in a deep ball that broke the gap trap.
Gundoan took over and rolled in from close range.
0:1 quick to Manchester City.
10th minute: Holland put in a great ball to De Brauna, who ran down the right wing, entered the box and kicked hard.
But Nick Pope saved his team from a double absorption.
Minute 17: What a miss by Newcastle!
The excellent Alain Saint-Maximin received a ball on the left wing and found Almiron, who was completely free in the box but kicked over the goal.
Minute 20: Manchester City received a free kick from a very dangerous position, a distance of 17 meters diagonally from the goal.
De Brauna took an excellent kick on the right to the far corner, but Pope saved.
