Chelsea have suffered their first defeat of the season in the Premier League.

Unlike last week, when the 2-2 win against Tottenham Hotspur ended with a scandal between Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel and his opposite number Antonio Conte, this time the only thing that frustrated the coach was the performance of the Blues.

Chelsea lost 0: 3 (0: 2) at Leeds United, defensive access Kalidou Koulibaly also received a yellow card after repeated foul play (84th minute).

At the same time, West Ham United lost 2-0 (1-0) to Brighton & Hove Albion on the debut of national defender Tilo Kehrer, who had just moved to England from Paris Saint-Germain.

Kehrer caused a penalty kick.

The day before, Arsenal FC and Tottenham had each ensured that the big clubs from north London were still among the top teams in the league after three games.

Despite his game suspension, Tuchel was on the bench after the argument with Conte because the penalty was suspended until the regulatory commission issued a written justification.

In Leeds, however, the Chelsea coach saw a weak performance from his team for more than 90 minutes, who rarely managed to stage the offensive around national player Kai Havertz.

There were also defensive mistakes.

World goalkeeper Édouard Mendy underwent the most dramatic of these: under pressure from Leeds' Brenden Aaronson, Mendy dribbled and lost the ball. American Aaronson hit the empty goal, his coach and compatriot Jesse Marsch cheered on the sidelines.

Even after that, the former Lepzig coach seemed to have adjusted his team better.

Rodrio headed into the far corner after a free kick to make it 2-0 (37'), and Leeds hardly allowed anything in defense.

In the second half, Jack Harrison made it 3-0 after a counterattack (69'), shortly before the end of the game Koulibaly had to leave the field after repeated foul play with yellow-red (84').

The debut of national defender Thilo Kehrer does not stop West Ham United's disastrous start to the season.

On the contrary: In the 0: 2 (0: 2) against Brighton & Hove Albion, Kehrer was in the back four of the Hammers in the starting line-up, but caused the penalty by a foul on Danny Welbeck, which Alexis Mac Allister for the lead of the Seagulls used (22nd).

Leandro Trossard later scored the final score (66th).

West Ham are bottom of the table without a point, while Brighton are fourth with two wins and a draw.

At Arsenal, things are going extremely well in the new season.

Coach Mikel Arteta's team won 3-0 (2-0) at AFC Bournemouth, goals were scored by playmaker Martin Ødegaard (5', 11') and defensive talent William Saliba (54').

Arsenal are top of the table with three wins from three games.

The visitors took the lead in the fifth minute, initiated by a brilliant individual action by new striker Gabriel Jesus, who had four goals in the past week.

The Brazilian twisted a high ball into the run, left two opponents standing when he dribbled at speed and took Gabriel Martinell with him.

That failed, but Ødegaard was there in the follow-up shot.

The Norwegian's second goal also came from an assist from Jesus.

It was a dominant first half in which Bournemouth never got the ball in Arsenal's penalty area or fired a shot.

In the second round, Saliba made it 3-0 after receiving a pass from Granit Xhaka.

Tottenham Hotspur managed a narrow 1-0 home win against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Captain and top striker Harry Kane scored the winning goal in the 64th minute.

It was a record for the England captain: no player has scored more than his 185 goals for a single team in the Premier League.

Kane thus surpassed the previous record of Sergio Aguero.

The record goal came from a standard situation.

Son Heung-min sent a cross sharply to the first post, where new signing Ivan Perisic headed it in.

Kane lurked at the second post and took his chance.

The win means Tottenham remain undefeated, with seven points from three games, the Londoners are in second place for the time being.
