SV Raisting: First victory thanks to Luca Zandt's dream goal

Thanks to a compact performance in Neuried, SV Raisting gets their first win and thus leaves the bottom of the table.

Luca Zandt scored the decisive goal.

Raisting – It worked out for the leader of all places.

A 1-0 (0-0) win at TSV Neuried gave SV Raisting their first win of the season in the southern district league.

In addition, the eleven of player-coach Johannes Franz escaped the table cellar for the time being.

Newcomer Gianluca Zandt scored the winning goal in the closing stages.

“Brand dream gate”, emphasized Franz.

With a view to the big picture, the coach summed up that the victory was “not undeserved”, but that the match could have gone the other way.

"We finally had the necessary luck," emphasized Franz.

At the beginning it didn't look like a Raistinger feat.

The guests noticed the suboptimal results of the games beforehand.

"You could tell you were nervous and lacking in self-confidence at first," admitted Raisting's player-coach.

After a "very gross mistake" in the game structure, it almost happened.

But goalkeeper Urban Schaidhauf parried the first attempt, and Thomas Bretthauer was there on the goal line for the follow-up shot.

Later, the Neurieder hit the outer post.

As the game progressed, SVR got better and better at defying the attacking pressing of the home team.

The Raistingers got more and more into the game and suddenly had great opportunities themselves.

Both Zandt and Markus Riedl appeared completely free-standing in front of TSV keeper Markus Bever, but, to the astonishment of the fans who had traveled with them, did not put the game equipment in the box.

Franz saw a "very balanced game" in which Raisting always had problems when it came to losing the ball in unfavorable zones.

However, if Franz' men stood in the intended order, the Neurieder found no means at all.

As the game drew to a close, offensive power Zandt saw himself called onto the scene.

With a fine trick, he prevailed in the fray and immediately pulled away from a considerable distance.

But the ball fluttered and sank almost perfidiously under the crossbar in the back of the TSV keeper (84th).

As is so often the case, the remaining time of the season was characterized by many interruptions and set-pieces, without Raistinger's victory faltering again.

"We defended by hook or by crook," Franz praised his staff.

"In our situation it's not important how you play, but that you get the first win." A goal that has now been achieved.
