Konrad Laimer will not switch to Bayern Munich.

Leipzig coach Domenico Tedesco confirmed the whereabouts live on TV.

In 2023 there could still be a transfer.

Berlin - The big final sprint is coming up!

The summer transfer window closes on September 1 this year.

So the countdown to the transition final is on - most Bundesliga clubs have already bagged their deals.

FC Bayern Munich has strengthened its squad with Sadio Mané, Matthijs de Ligt, Ryan Gravenberch and Noussair Mazraoui.

In Leipzig, they were happy about the additions of David Raum and Timo Werner.

Borussia Dortmund has found the desired replacement for the sick Sébastien Haller in Anthony Modeste.

At the end of the transfer period, will there be any major business at all?

Konrad Laimer and FC Bayern Munich: Leipzig coach Domenico Tedesco with change cancellation

There are currently many indications that not much will happen at the major Bundesliga locations.

One or the other player could still leave his club, but on the side of the additions, the plans seem to be complete everywhere.

Recently there was a lot of speculation about Konrad Laimer in Munich - but this track seems to have finally cooled down for the current transfer summer, as reported by tz.de.

At least that's what Domenico Tedesco says.

The RB Leipzig coach said before the top game at Union Berlin on Saturday night: "It's understandable that Bayern wanted him, now we've kept him."

Laimer stays in Leipzig: Bayern midfield with Kimmich, Sabitzer, Gravenberch, Goretzka and Musiala

The Austrian midfielder is one of Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann's favorites in the Bundesliga.

The FCB coach recently wished for a "pressing machine" like him for his team, in central midfield the Munich team would theoretically also have had a need.

But: Marcel Sabitzer has now settled down, compared to his premiere season, the former Leipzig player is now much more stable.

Leon Goretzka's absence did not result in a major drop in quality, which is why the FCB bosses no longer see any need for action in this position.

Finally, with Gravenberch, another alternative is available at headquarters, and Jamal Musiala already knows the position alongside Joshua Kimmich.

A costly Laimer transfer would therefore make no sense.

Konrad Laimer on a free transfer to Bayern Munich in the summer of 2023?

For Tedesco, the matter has long been fixed anyway.

He also emphasized to

Sky

on Saturday evening that he had known “for four weeks” that Laimer would stay in Saxony.

At least for this season.

Because the contract of the 25-year-old expires on June 30, 2023.

The native of Salzburg would then be available on a free transfer if he does not extend the contract in Leipzig beforehand.

So it's quite possible that the topic of Laimer will be interesting for Bayern again.

Just in a year.

Incidentally, Laimer could not prevent the RB bankruptcy against Union Berlin (see video).

There was a 2-1 defeat on his first appearance in the new Bundesliga season, and the midfielder was substituted after 71 minutes.
