Mick Schumacher is one of the Formula 1 drivers who still have to worry about their cockpit for next season.
An Instagram clue could give a clue to his future.
Munich – With Sebastian Vettel, a German driver has already announced his retirement from Formula 1.
It cannot be ruled out that next season there will be no German pilot at the start.
Mick Schumacher still has no contract for 2023.
For the German fans of the racing series that would of course be a hard blow.
There's still time, in Formula 1 it's not uncommon for teams not to have their cockpits filled for the new season after the summer break.
A scenario in which Mick Schumacher actually has to give up is not unthinkable.
Mick Schumacher to Alpine?
Instagram detail causes a stir
In a team-internal comparison, the German is lagging behind, Haas team boss Günther Steiner made it clear what he expects from him for a new contract: "Score more points." It is clear from this: A new Haas contract is anything but certain.
The talks were recently on hold.
The cockpits of four out of ten teams are already occupied, with Haas, Alfa Romeo, AlphaTauri, Williams, McLaren and Alpine still having a seat open.

AlphaTauri traditionally relies on drivers from its own Red Bull program, Alfa Romeo will probably keep its rookie Guanyu Zhou.
So that leaves Alpine, Williams, McLaren and Haas as real options.
Ex-pilot Timo Glock commented on a possible indication.
Schumacher has been following Alpine CEO Laurent Rossi on Instagram since last week.
He is also one of the followers of Alpine team boss Otmar Szafnauer.
Mick Schumacher still without a cockpit for 2023 - Glock sees "small indication"
"I wouldn't read too much into that now.
But maybe it's a small indication that you're in negotiations or in talks," said Glock in an interview with the broadcaster
Sky
, for which he works as an expert.
But that's nothing more than an interesting detail.
Ultimately, Steiner is right: Schumacher will only be able to increase his chances of a cockpit with points.
He can lay the foundation for a strong finish to the season next Sunday in Spa.
