The heated argument between the coaches Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte was liked by the German national soccer player Kai Havertz according to his own statements.
"I thought it was great," said the 23-year-old from Chelsea in an interview with Sky TV.
If the team notices that the coach on the sidelines is doing everything to win the game, they spur them on "double and triple."
Havertz' coach Tuchel and Tottenham coach Conte clashed after the 2-2 draw in the heated London derby in mid-August.
As a consequence of the tumult, the referee gave both of them a red card.
Both coaches had to pay a fine.
"You definitely noticed that something was going on in the game, and as a player, games like this just make you want to," said Havertz.
It was something special to be on the pitch at a moment like this, he emphasized.
Havertz himself was the center of attention several times in the game against Tottenham.
Among other things, Spurs' first goal was preceded by a hard challenge by Rodrigo Bentancur against Havertz, which Tuchel rated as a foul.
Havertz misses Werner and Rüdiger
Chelsea started the season badly, taking just four points from their first three games.
At the weekend, the Blues lost 3-0 (2-0) at Leeds United.
In the interview, Havertz also spoke about the departures of his former Chelsea colleagues Timo Werner and Antonio Rüdiger.
"They were close friends of mine, with whom I got along very well on and off the pitch." They saw each other every day for more than two years, and it hurts to say goodbye.
Werner moved to RB Leipzig, Rüdiger to Real Madrid.
