The second stage of the World Basketball Championship qualifiers starts tonight (Thursday) when the Israeli national team is hosted by Finland.

Guy Goodes' team carries with them a record of 3 wins and 3 losses from the previous qualifying stage and are in fourth place in group 10, while the Finns open the stage with an impressive record of 1:5, and are in second place at home after Germany who have the same record.

The guest is without Gal Mekel, who stayed in Israel to be with Willy Sims at his wedding, and also without Noam Dovara, who was left out of the squad following Goodes' decision.

The star of the Finnish team is Lauri Markkanen who scores 15.4 points per game in Cleveland of the NBA and earns more than 16 million dollars per season.
