Historic meeting:
The Moroccan women's handball team is expected to arrive in Israel in about a month and hold a pair of friendly and preparatory games against the Israeli team after Rosh Hashanah.
The handball association in Morocco and the team's professional team confirmed the arrival in a telegram sent last night from Rabat to the Israeli association.
The games will be a preparation for the Israeli national team that will play a pair of games in Iceland against the local team in the first round of the World Championship qualifiers at the beginning of November (5th and 6th).
In recent months there has been a warm relationship between the two unions, when over two months ago the possibility of a meeting between the men's national teams of the two countries was examined - which was not possible due to scheduling issues.
