SV Raisting wants to build on the good performance from the Neuried game against SV Bad Heilbrunn.

The duel has a decisive character for the SVR.

Raisting – FC Penzberg as a role model?

After all, he shot his way from a mini-crisis to a late-summer euphoria with two wins in a row.

"We don't take a district competitor as a role model," jokes player-coach Johannes Franz, linking the statement directly with a nuanced declaration of war: "We want to overtake FC Penzberg at best." However, the rival is good as a blueprint in one respect.

With his first victory, he initiated the trend reversal and pushed aside the negative experiences of the starting weeks.

In Raisting they don't yet know how to interpret this 1-0 win in Neuried.

Flash in the Pan or Reversal?

That's the crucial question before the next district league game this Sunday against SV Bad Heilbrunn (3 p.m., Raiffeisen Arena on Wielenbacher Straße).

Johannes Franz has spotted a few signs pointing to a season-changing game.

It started with the preparation, where this time some kickers saved themselves a mountain hike lasting several hours the day before and went onto the pitch rested.

In addition, the player-coach observed how many players reeled off more meters "that were saved in the first games".

It was the same with duels.

In short: Franz praised a new mentality that pervaded the whole team and that Raisting now wants to reproduce, even preserve.

"The conviction was decisive."

Player coach Franz sees a new mentality in the team

Two kickers personified this new biliousness.

Viktor Neveling, who his coach in Neuried perceived as "brutally present", and Andreas Heichele, who was promoted to the starting eleven especially for this task.

"When he's on the pitch, it's a completely different team," praises Franz. With their teammates and the necessary luck, they made the coach very relieved, who concedes: "There was a bit of pressure on it." The game against Bad Heilbrunn now sets the direction in which SV Raisting is moving.

Johannes Franz would like to prevent another defeat simply because otherwise two basement duels against Großhadern and Hellas Munich would follow, in which the SVR would have to tear something "by hook or by crook".

"We don't even want to get there."

They would much rather look at regions where SV Bad Heilbrunn is currently located.

After relegation, the team has sorted itself back to the top.

Even if the SV lost two important national league players (end of career), Hannes Franz still knows enough names from earlier duels that stand for quality: Anton Krinner, Anton Pappritz, the Specker brothers Andreas and Benedikt, to name just a few.

Like last week at TSV Neuried, Franz sees the offensive line as the biggest starting point.

Bad Heilbrunn initiates the majority of its chances via the strong outside players, who repeatedly push into one-on-one.

The coach saw this on various video sequences.

"There's a lot of work ahead of us.

This challenge excites us.”
