Summary: Nice - Maccabi Tel Aviv 0:2 (Sport1)
Maccabi Tel Aviv expects to sign a foreign midfielder in the coming days, but it is possible that a foreign winger will also join the club soon.
In France, it was reported this morning (Friday) that Maccabi Tel Aviv reached an agreement with the winger Aldo Kalolo, who belongs to Sochaux from the minor league in France.
The 26-year-old Kalolo, who was born in France and also played for their youth team, grew up in the youth departments of Lyon and from there he was loaned to Rennes and Sochaux.
The Swiss Basel bought him in the summer of 2018 for about 2 million euros and a year later he was loaned to Swansea until he joined Suzhou as a free agent in the summer of 2021.
Last season he scored 10 goals and assisted 5 in 37 games in the minor league in France, but played mainly in the central striker position and sometimes on both wings.

If Kalolo does join Maccabi Tel Aviv, the one who is expected to pay the price is Brendley Kovas who this season rarely plays and mostly comes off the bench, if at all - yesterday in Nice he did not get credit from Voladan Ivić and last week in Bloomfield he only entered the final minutes.
In between, in the 0:5 against Maccabi Bnei Rayna, Kovas came off the bench for the second half and had difficulty producing quality offensive actions.
