Historic first for Argentina
Already victorious in the large widths against Australia (48-17) last week, the Pumas gave the cover Saturday in Christchurch.
This is a first in their history since the Argentinians have never won in New Zealand.
They had obtained their first victory against the All Blacks in Australia in 2020 (25-15).
They lose their top spot in the Rugby Championship to Australia on points difference, but now advance as one of the competition's favourites.
Boffelli, such a reliable goalscorer
Former Racingman Emiliano Boffelli put in a masterful performance.
The Pumas winger was good in defence, solid on high balls and inspired in the running game.
But it was his precision against the poles that proved decisive: he scored 20 points, and did not miss any of his seven attempts.
Opposite, Jordie Barrett and Richie Mo'unga left eight points on the way… The Edinburgh back also put pressure on Scott Barrett, and caused the error from the second row on Juan Martin Gonzalez Samso's try ( 47th).

The battle of the one-way rucks
The All Blacks have long been masters of groupings, open scrums and rucks.
It is now ancient history, as they have been dominated in this sector by the Argentines.
The speed to get into the third row rucks was key, and constantly put the hosts behind on the clearings.
They only lost six balls, while the New Zealanders conceded 10 turnovers.

Ian Foster helpless and put under pressure
For this meeting against the Pumas in Christchurch, Foster had maintained his confidence in the same players who beat South Africa (35-23) in Johannesburg a little less than two weeks ago.
He was confirmed in his role after this saving victory by New Zealand Rugby last Wednesday.
The appointment of ex-Ireland manager Joe Schmidt as full-backs coach was meant to be a simple adjustment.
Could this unexpected defeat make the New Zealand board change its mind?
The week promises to be still hot for Ian Foster…
A crippling indiscipline
If the closed scrum is the only positive sector of the match for the triple world champions, they will however have shown chronic indiscipline, with 14 whistles against them.
If the Argentinians were also penalized a lot (12 times), the New Zealanders were often penalized in the current game and not during the conquest phases.
As a result, they were never in a position to score from set attacks - Samisoni Taukei'aho's first try was on a carry ball, Caleb Clarke's second on a dodge ball.
Three consecutive defeats for the All Blacks
The All Blacks have now lost three times at home in a row, a first in their history.
On the summer tour, they had already been beaten twice at home by Ireland.
The Irish had become the second team from the northern hemisphere to win their series of test matches in New Zealand, after the XV of France in 1994.
