The season is still long, but VfB Hallbergmoos shouldn't let the gap to the saving bank get too big.
The same applies to table neighbor Garching.
Hallbergmoos
– Four teams at the bottom of the Bayernliga table are in danger of losing touch with the league.
VfR Garching welcomes a neighbor in the basement with VfB Hallbergmoos (Sunday, 3 p.m.) and it is clear that difficult times are ahead for the loser.
With one win and seven defeats, both teams have an almost identical starting situation.
VfB Hallbergmoos: New signing Thee against the ex-club - experienced keeper committed
To date, Hallbergmoos has beaten bottom-placed Türkspor Augsburg and Garching third-bottom Rosenheim.
However, both teams are already eight points behind the first non-relegation zone, which is already a cause for concern at this early stage of the season.
After the recent performance, VfB is going to Garching as an outsider, because recently they were hardly suitable for the Bavarian league.
Hallbergmooser have already reacted to the poor performance by signing former VfR player Stephan Thee.
Now there was a second transfer that shows the internal concern.
Dominic Dachs, an experienced keeper, came from FC Moosinning and once kept goal in the regional league.
Dachs was trained in the youth of TSV 1860 Munich and FC Augsburg.
For SV Seligenporten and VfR Garching he played 51 games in regional and Bavarian leagues.
After a few injuries, he is now back in the second highest league of Bavarian amateur football.
After Martin Dinkel's hara-kiri dribble to quickly 0:1 against Deisenhofen, Dachs could now be the experienced alternative for the goal.
The change of keeper before the landmark game would not come as a big surprise.
(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)
VfB Hallbergmoos: Personnel bottleneck in central defense - Küchle is looking for further reinforcements
Otherwise there are several candidates that coach Matthias Strohmaier would like to give a break.
In the absence of alternatives ready to play, the coach's hands are tied.
Compared to Deisenhofen, only center forward Maurice David is returning to the squad after recovering from illness.
Stephan Thee and Dominic Dachs meet their ex-club in the Garchinger Seestadion - Strohmaier actually too.
After his unnecessary red card against Deisenhofen, however, he has to watch his former club.
As a playing assistant coach, Strohmaier got into the coaching business a few years ago in Garching and is still good friends with VfR trainer Nico Basta, with whom he was in the same high school class.
Strohmaier's suspension creates a worrying state of emergency in central defense.
It's still too early for a final in the ninth round of the league, but the Hallbergmooser know about the trend-setting character.
If you want to get away from the basement places, you have to win the duels of those who have been left behind.
In the case of VfB, this time it's about proving their suitability for the Bayern league against one of the weaker opponents in the league.
At the same time, sporting director Anselm Küchle continues to look around for players on the market who could quickly help the troubled club.
Until September 1st, there are still opportunities to bring transfers through with kickers who still get approval from their clubs.
Lineup:
Badger (Spelt) – Petschner, Zeisl (Aiteniora), Mömkes, Mühlrath – Kostorz, Beetz, Thee, Lucksch (Czech) – Werner, David.
